Since The Fence People’s system is modular and reusable, this provides 1 LEED point in the Construction Waste Management category – 50% waste diverted from landfill. Much of construction hoarding used today is made of lumber. After being onsite for several years, exposed to weather and construction, it renders this material to waste once complete. The systems used by the Fence People can endure the elements of weather and construction. Once removed it is esthetically refurbished and ready for another project. Previous projects have used our systems and achieved an additional point for 75% waste diverted from landfill.
LEED points are not easily rewarded, but our hoarding systems allow the builder to enter several categories, including: Manufactured Regionally, Rapidly renewable materials and reuse building materials.
